Privacy Policy (POPIA)

Chukwu Ebuka Gift Onwusaka, a sole proprietor trading as NovaDigital ("we") is the responsible party for personal information processed through Talvaya. We follow the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google instead of a password.
• Career information you choose to enter: your Career Profile, vacancies, notes and the documents Talvaya AI generates.
• Payment records: amount, date, method and status. Card details are handled by PayFast; we never receive them. If you pay by bank transfer, we keep the proof of payment you upload (which may show your name, bank and account details) to verify and account for your payment.
• Technical data: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and basic server logs for security.

We do not ask for, and you should not enter, your ID number, banking details, health information or other special personal information.

Why we use it

Only to provide the Service: to generate your documents and analyses, keep your tracker, process payments, secure your account and respond to you. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.

Who processes it

• AI provider: the relevant parts of your Career Profile, vacancy text and requests are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses. Under its commercial terms, this data is not used to train its models.
• PayFast: processes card and Instant EFT payments.
• Google: if you choose "Continue with Google", Google confirms your identity.
• Hosting provider: stores the application and database.

Some providers may process information outside South Africa. Where they do, we rely on providers bound by data-protection obligations comparable to POPIA.

How long we keep it

While your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, vacancies and documents are deleted immediately. Payment records may be kept for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

• Access and download your data at any time (Settings → Download my data).
• Correct your information (edit your Career Profile).
• Delete your account and data (Settings → Delete account).
• Object to processing, or complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

Security

Passwords are hashed, sessions use secure cookies, data is transmitted over HTTPS, and each account can only access its own data.
